Blog - Latest Madonna Collectables, Music & Memorabilia to Surface

I wanted to share these lovely pictures of the brand new MDNA SKIN cosmetics from Madonna. I mentioned these a few days ago and wanted to update everyone again with some beautiful pictures that I have received from Madonna fans and collectors. Pretty sure these were all taken at the Pacific Place mall in Hong Kong.

Japan has once again made Madonna collectors very happy with a second Warner Brothers CD album reissue in as many years. This time, and to commemorate the Rebel Heart tour in Japan, Warner Music Japan reissued six Madonna CD albums in unique card sleeve format and all six would look great in any Madonna collection; these appeared beginning of 2016 and have been a very welcome sight. The really exciting part is that all six CD albums are miniature remakes of the original LPs.

Each compact disc is housed in an LP-style card sleeve with the artwork taken from the front and back of the original and even comes with a card OBI. The sleeve also holds a wonderful assortment of extras that mimic the original contents of the LP when it was first released. All six come with replica miniature dust jacket for the disc and fabulous lyrics insert booklet. Two great examples include the True Blue album with faithfully reproduced fold-out poster and the later Like A Prayer album with colour sticker and replica AIDS awareness insert. Bought back a real DEJAR VU moment for me!

Unlike last years reissue, the "Forever Young Campaign 2015" with 14 CD albums, the first three albums of this reissue: Madonna, Like A Virgin and True Blue, are the original albums and not remastered editions. Likewise last years reissue did not include the Immaculate Collection. I have listed the six reissued CD albums below.

Interestingly, the catalogue numbers don't reflect the original release order and Like A Prayer is placed before You Can Dance for some reason. Thanks Kent Engholm for pointing this out to me.

You Can Dance CD reissue comes with the original red front sleeve and original rear artwork. The sleeve comes with outer red OBI, dust jacket holding the yellow CD and lyrics insert booklet.

LIKE A PRAYER WITH STICKER!

Like A Prayer CD reissue comes with the original full colour front sleeve and original rear artwork. The sleeve comes with outer picture OBI, dust jacket holding the yellow CD, lyrics insert booklet and collectable sticker along with faithfully reproduced AIDS leaflet.

IMMACULATE COLLECTION

Immaculate Collection CD reissue comes with the original clue and gold front sleeve and original rear artwork. The sleeve comes with outer picture OBI, dust jacket holding the yellow CD, second jacket (as used for the original double-LP) and lyrics insert booklet.

Thanks to Azmi for brining this to my attention! This appears to be a new Madonna compilation album called Greatest Hits Remixed. This looks like some kind of double CD album and features 35 remixed tracks from the past 34 years displayed on the rear artwork. The CD contents looks impressive also and features a booklet displaying many of the singles' artwork thats are featured on the album.

Interesting comment regarding the authenticity of these CDs from Madonna collector Simon Venekeo: "These's cd's are fake. I saw them posted a few weeks ago saying there for the Asian VIP. However my uncle was VIP in Thailand and didn't get this."
